MOTIVATION FROM THE JURY

Combining knitted Merino fabric and Merino mesh has been around for a while but it has never been executed as well as in the apparel winner of this year. The strategic placement of the materials in this piece is thought through and works well, where the mesh is placed under the arms and only partly on the back. This makes the design of this t-shirt very appealing. Also, Aclima has always been among the pioneers of this material combination.

PRODUCT USP

Aclima Sports T-shirt is designed in a new thin mesh construction in 100% Merino wool. The mesh is lightweight and the construction is made for optimal ventilation. A perfect garment for summer use or as base layer on chilly days.

PRIMARY INNOVATION FEATURES

The Merino wool mesh is strategically placed for optimal sweat transportation and body temperature control. The product is intended for multi usage and will provide great insulation as a base layer. The wool gives the user great ventilation in activity and insulation during rest. The fit is optimized for movement, with its extended back and itch free flatlock seems.

INTENDED SPECIFIC END USE

The T-shirt is perfect for running, trail-running, hiking, biking and other high-performance activities. Merino wool is a great alternative to synthetic textiles, thanks to its body temperature regulation and natural odor control.

SUSTAINABILITY INFORMATION

Aclima follow the Oeko-Tex® standards and use Oeko-Tex in all garments. The wool is biodegradable, as the fibres are made of proteins, which is consumed by insects and microbes. Aclima is an ISO-14001-certified company. All products are made to the Oeko-Tex 100 standard, and the Merino wool is ZQ-certified. All Aclima products are made in Northern Europe.
