A lightweight backpack – only 978 grams! – with super durable and custom fabric from high-quality Nylon 66 and Black Dyneema™ ripstop. It can also be stripped down to a super lightweight version. Adjustable to torso length with Bergans QuickAdjust™ PRO and with great carrying comfort. Full front opening.
PRIMARY INNOVATION FEATURES
Bergans sat down 3 bold goals for improvement in this project; improve on the carrying comfort while keeping the ultralight weight of the previous generation, and at the same time increase the lifespan of the product.
The pack is kept clean and relatively minimal, but with the BergansPLUS strap system to have the possibility to attach skis, tools, mats, tents, or even the BergansPLUS Daypack. The hip belt is articulating, stowable and can be removed and paired with the lid to form a hip pack or a snow sled pulling belt. The zipper is placed diagonally to provide a generous opening whether items are attached to the front or on the side and promotes opening the pack while it is laying on the side.
Visually, the colored cone shape conveys capacity and hints back to the shape of Bergans’ classic alpine packs from the 60’s and 70’s.

SUSTAINABILITY INFORMATION
Designed and developed to repair and for easy change of zippers and trimmings if necessary. Bergans are constantly replacing trimmings and materials with recycled options.
Bergans has established its own return program for used clothing and equipment in its home market Norway, with the aim to re-sell (for a longer product life), redesign (to make use of the material resources) or – as the last alternative – recycle these used garments.

FUN FACTS
The ability for the hip belt and the lid to be combined into a hip pack was accidentally discovered during a test hike from Bergans.
