PRODUCT USP

A highly technical ECCO sneaker in a minimalist aesthetic for urban use. The BIOM® technology was originally engineered for triathletes, built upon the principles of natural motion. The new BIOM 2.0 uses these same principles and brings them to a design that is as futuristic as the technology itself. The revolutionary asymmetric midsole features PU side wings that hold the midfoot in place to decrease the amount of sideways movement, while the wrap-around design secures the heel to further support the foot.

Meanwhile, by allowing space in the midsole for the shoe to bend, it maintains full flexibility. The design comes with a rubber outsole for grip that makes full contact with the ground, allowing it to be used for urban walking, light running and in gyms. To complement the futuristic look of the sole, the upper is made from a breathable neoprene-like sock-construction, with leather detailing and a wide-lacing closure to create the optimal fit in a minimalist aesthetic.

PRIMARY INNOVATION FEATURES 

BIOM® Natural® Running Technology, including PU wings to hold the midfoot in place, a wrap-around midsole to secure the heel and full contact rubber outsole for stability and grip. It further features the innovative PHORENE midsole material for energy return, and to ensure soft movement, and is built on an anatomical last using FluidFormTM.

SUSTAINABILITY INFORMATION 

The BIOM 2.0 is built with FluidFormTM technology, creating an integral bond between the sole and the upper that increases the durability of the shoe – enhancing the life cycle to reduce consumption in the long-term.

The use of DriTan leather in the ECCO Outdoor products, including the BIOM 2.0, ensures to minimize water consumption during production and decrease the amount of chemical wastewater.

Also, by being in control over its supply chain, ECCO can continuously improve its environmental impact and can ensure ethical treatment of its employees.
