MOTIVATION FROM THE JURY

The jury does not know any other tent in this weight category that offers as much space, such sturdy materials and the same level of weather protection. This year’s hardware award winner is also very versatile. You can either pitch the inner and outer tent separately or as a classic double wall ridge tent. The vestibule can be fully opened up giving you a great view through the micro-mesh doors of the inner tent. When pitched with trekking poles the Hilleberg Anaris weighs 1,4 kg.

PRIMARY INNOVATION FEATURES

Lightweight and roomy 2-person, 2-vestibule ridge tent constructed to pitch with trekking poles or by suspending its ridge ends from trees or other supports. Generous 2.6 m2 inner tent area, 110 cm of head room, and two 0.9 m2 vestibules. Both inner tent entrance walls (incl. doors), are no-see-um mesh, which ensure excellent airflow. The outer tent works as a lightweight (640 g) yet “supercharged” tarp, thanks to its multiple options for rolling the ends or sides.

The Anaris’s excellent combination of light weight, simplicity and impressive comfort make it ideal for summer backpacking, trekking and other warmer weather backcountry adventures.

SUSTAINABILITY INFORMATION

Hilleberg build all tents to last a long time, and so that it can be repaired if necessary, to further its life span. For all materials, Hilleberg comply with the European Union’s European Chemicals Agency regulation REACH.
