Polar Paw Winter Shoe

Intended use:

POLAR PAW Winter Shoe is intended for children who need warm, waterproof and protective footwear for outdoor activities during cold and wet winter conditions. The shoe is designed for everyday use, including walking, playing and exploring outdoors in snow, slush, wet and slippery conditions.

The barefoot construction is intended to support natural foot movement in growing children. The wide toe box allows the toes to spread naturally, while the flexible, soft sole and zero-drop construction allow for natural movement and ground contact. The waterproof construction, taped seams, Thinsulate™ insulation and grippy outsole provide protection and warmth in cold winter weather.

The product is primarily intended for winter seasons, particularly in cold, wet, snowy and icy conditions.

Product USP:

POLAR PAW Winter Shoe combines the natural freedom of a barefoot shoe with reliable winter protection. Its wide toe box, flexible sole and zero-drop construction support natural foot movement, while the 100% waterproof construction, 200 g M3 Thinsulate™ insulation and grippy outsole provide warmth, dryness and traction in challenging winter conditions. The shoe is tested for insulation down to –30°C (ISO 20877:2011) and for 15,000 flex cycles in wet conditions without water penetration. BIONIC-FINISH® ECO provides a PFAS-free water-repellent finish.

Fun facts:

Isbjörn uses the same last as for their sneakers, which was developed in consultation with an orthopedic specialist. The sole supports children’s natural movement patterns and promotes healthy motor development in growing feet.

Approach to extend the products lifecycle:

Isbjörn design its products according to a slow fashion approach, with a focus on durability, functionality and long-term use. They actively work to extend the lifecycle of the products beyond the first owner. Through their partnership with Ninyes, they enable customers to resell and give pre-owned ISBJÖRN products a second life. This helps keep products in use for longer and reduces the need for new products.

Isbjörn also support repair and continued care of the products, with the aim of keeping them functional and in use for as long as possible.
