Klunken is the answer to a basic and recurring need ¬– a water bottle that fits perfectly in the side pocket of the probably most sold urban backpack, the Kånken backpack. And with that special Rainbow edition Primus support the organization of IGLYO with 1 Euro per sold bottle.

An exciting, assortment of single-wall and insulated bottles that have been developed together with the sister-brand, Fjällräven, to perfectly partner with the iconic Kånken backpack.
The Primus Klunken bottles are not only the optimum size and shape to fit neatly into the backpack’s side pockets, they’ve also been carefully designed to exactly match the colour and style of Kånken. Both the single-wall and vacuum Rainbow versions are available in two colours which fit exactly to the Kånken Rainbow colours and Primus hasn’t stopped there. The finger-loop on the Rainbow Klunken’s lid is also made from the same webbing as the straps of the Fjällräven Rainbow Kånken, ensuring an even closer match.
Developed in Sweden with Primus’ signature quality and functionality, the Klunken is available in a 0.7 liter single-wall version that’s an ideal alternative to single-use plastic water bottles and also a vacuum-insulated 0.5 liter version that is perfect for both keeping your morning coffee hot while on the move or ensuring cold drinks stay chilled all day. The durable, powder-coated surface offers a secure grip in every situation ¬– even in the pouring rain – and the bottle’s lid is made of natural, insulating cork complete with a practical webbing loop for comfortable transportation.
The large opening guarantees easy filling and cleaning as well as ensuring it’s pleasant to drink from, while the stainless-steel construction is not only sustainable, but also hygienic, tasteless and corrosion resistant.

SUSTAINABILITY INFORMATION
Primus focus and philosophy is to produce only long lasting, durable products. They chose materials like stainless steel, cork and a strong webbing, which are coming by 90% already of the recycled products. Producing products with care, with the focus on a low on energy consumption. All Primus products are created on the ELA – life cycle assessment – the products itself are energy efficient. The Klunken bottle itself helps to reduce plastic waste by using the sustainable bottle instead of disposable plastic bottles.
Steel is mostly iron that is fused with carbon and other substances. Stainless steel usually has a high proportion of chromium and nickel to prevent the material from oxidizing and decomposing in contact with water and oxygen. The advantage of steel is that it is an extremely durable material that can withstand high temperatures at a relatively low price. Stainless steel usually does not react with other substances and has a high resistance to rust. It is therefore easy to keep clean and does not give off any flavors. These are features that make stainless products lifelong companions that are also 100% recyclable. Today, around 90% of the material is recycled globally. On average, a product containing stainless steel has 60% recycled material. If steel is recycled, it requires approximately 75% less energy than new production.
Cork production is considered sustainable as the cork tree is not cut down to extract the material, it is only the bark that is torn off in a way that the tree continues to live and grow. Cork as a material has excellent insulating properties, does not conduct heat very well and is moisture resistant, which makes it a very useful material.
FUN FACTS
Why the name Rainbow Klunken? The word Klunken is derived from the Swedish verb ‘klunka’, which means ‘glug’ – the hollow, gurgling sound that is heard when liquid is poured from a bottle. Rainbow as a sign of the Rainbow as symbol, which in numerous cultures around the world stands for awakening, change and peace, and is considered a sign of tolerance and acceptance, of the diversity of life forms, of hope and longing.
Primus initiate, with every Klunken Rainbow bottle they sell, to support the organization IGLYO with 1 Euro. IGLYO is an International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Intersex Youth & Student network organization in over 40 countries.
